The Sunshine Coast Environment Council seeks a visionary CEO to lead environmental advocacy, biodiversity preservation, and climate action. Shape the sustainable future of our region through strategy and partnerships.

The Sunshine Coast Environment Council (SCEC) is looking for its first Chief Executive Officer to lead us into a sustainable future.

Are you a visionary leader with a passion for the environment? Join us at the helm of the region’s peak environmental advocacy group to drive impactful change, preserve biodiversity, and champion climate action.

As SCEC's CEO, you will lead the organisation through a strategic period of growth and transformation. Established in 1980, SCEC is the peak environmental advocacy body for the region, committed to protecting the Sunshine Coast's natural assets through community engagement, policy advocacy, and strategic partnerships.

The CEO will implement SCEC's five-year strategic plan, secure sustainable funding sources, and strengthen SCEC's influence. 

The role requires building relationships with community, government, and business stakeholders to further the organisation's mission.

This full-time role is a unique chance to shape the future of the Sunshine Coast’s natural assets while engaging with community, government, and business stakeholders.
