Self-Guided Walk through Bancroft’s Red Gum Reserve
10:00 AM – 12:00 Noon, Sunday 9 June at Bancroft’s Red Gum Environment Reserve
CCCG is hosting a self-guided walk through Bancroft’s Red Gum Reserve, showcasing the remarkable restoration of the area from cattle grazing land to a thriving ecosystem over nine years with the planting of 18,000 native seedlings. This event is part of the World Environment Day festivities coordinated by the Sunshine Coast Environment Council.
Volunteers from CCCG and the Wildlife Preservation Society of Queensland will be available to share information about the plant and animal species now inhabiting the reserve. Enjoy a free sausage sizzle and cold drinks, and stand a chance to win a family pass to Sea Life Sunshine Coast by completing a simple questionnaire based on the display information.
